Radioactive Source Disposal & Recycling
Cut out the middle man and work directly with one of the UK’s foremost radioactive waste management specialists for your radioactive source disposal & recycling.
Managing radioactive waste can be a headache – particularly if it’s just one part of your wider role. It is challenging to keep abreast of the complex regulations surrounding the disposal of radioactive waste. One-off or low-volume disposals can become disproportionately expensive.
At Eckert & Ziegler Environmental Services (EZE), our role is to provide you with professional advice regarding your radioactive waste options and obligations, followed with legally compliant sealed source collection, recycling and disposal solutions.
We offer recycling routes for a wide range of redundant radioactive sealed sources including Cs-137, Am-241, Am-241-Be, Co-60 and Kr-85.
Organisations across the world value our service. Here’s why.
Radioactive Source Disposal & Recycling
How It Works
We have access to all the radioactive source disposal facilities in England that accept radioactive materials from commercial operators as well as our own recycling facilities in Germany and the Czech Republic.
We offer recycling routes for a wide range of redundant radioactive sealed sources including Cs-137, Am-241, Am-241/Be, Co-60 and Kr-85.
Sources that are not suitable for recycling are consolidated with other sources, to minimise the environmental impact of transport. They are then transferred for specialist disposal in accordance with our Environmental Permits.
As part of our service, we assist clients when liaising with appropriate regulatory authorities such as the Environment Agency.
